Great for info on classes and groups available and even just general advice. Some really great items sold/gifted and from some really nice and honest people. It's a great community 👍
Such a great resource for parents in Stockport! I’ve used the for sale/ free group to pass along old baby items but have also received gifts from others. The new calendar of events means we always have options for what to do at our fingertips and don’t have to search for ages and the seasonal activity groups give great options for activities and inspiration in the holidays.
I've loved using the for sale or free section. Saved loads of money. I didn't really like the continuous repetitive nature of it at times but with proper management that's stopped. I don't really use the other smaller groups but would love it if the business group had an accessible directory if possible in a more usable place. I can never find a post related to what I need at the time. Other than that how the group is managed is excellent. Thank you for keeping us safe and informed 😊
Really amazing resource for support, ideas of what to do with the little ones, finding items you might need for a LOT cheaper than online and for in turn passing on items you no longer need. I always mention this group to other parents I meet and offer to add them to the group as it’s such a wonderful resource
The Parenting Hub groups are a wonderful community resource. The For Sale/Free group is so useful both for picking up bits you might need and also passing things on to new homes as your little one grows. The General Advice group is a lovely supportive space for parents to share experiences/challenges, ask questions and generally connect to feel less alone on the rollercoaster ride of parenting life! I’m really grateful to the volunteers who have set up and keep these groups running, ensuring they remain a safe, supportive and valuable space for local parents.
The parenting hubs are such a wonderful way for new and existing mums to connect with one another. It’s a welcoming messaging platform with several smaller groups such as for sale/swap and ones specific to things like Christmas 2025.
I highly recommend it’s so useful for days out, finding discount codes and just being able to see you aren’t alone in the craziness of parenting. Wish all areas had a hub as I know it is bound to be beneficial to everyone!

Helpful for things to do with kids. Helpful with advice for parents. For free and selling is Helpful for when you are getting rid of things and also getting this that you may need at a fraction of the cost. Great community space.
Being a first time mum and being put in touch with other mums with babies the same age has really helped me flourish as a new mum and i have made some lifetime friendships and the sweet bonds between our children is lovely to see!

This group is an absolute must for parents! There is so much comradery between parents, all so willing to help each other and lift each other up. I've had so much helpful advice from people in this hub, plus I find out about so much going on around Stockport that I'd never have known about without it. The for sale or free group is a life saver and penny saver! It's wonderful how we can all recycle children's clothing, toys etc, and give to people in need. Thank you to the admins for running this and putting so much voluntary time in, you're wonderful!
